Observation On The Treatment Efficacy Of Cryptococcal Neoformans Meningitis

[Objective] By analysing the relativity between standard period of treatment and curative effect, and observing the needed time for Cryptococcus New Meningitis (CNM) to turn negative after the treatment of endoneurilemma with AmB, the study tried to determine the period of treatment and influence of Endoneurilemma Injection on prognosis.[Methods] Retrospective analysis was made on the clinical material of 30 patients with CNM. Observation was done on the time needed for the culture of new cryptococcus to turn negative, to do further analysis on the differences of the curative effect between patiens with endoneurilemma or without. Method of statistics:SPSS 13.0 software was adopted to carry out the data processing. The measurement material of normal distribution were described by the x±s, used the t examination, and there were significances in statistics when p< 0.05.[Results] The needed time for new cryptococcus to turn negative of the endoneurilemma injection group with 11 patients was (22.73±10.02)days, while the time needed for the group without endoneurilemma injection was (19.69±8.40) days. There is no significant difference between the two groups. In analysis of the course of treatment on prognosis, the rate varied depending on the course of antimycotic treatment. When there was two week of such treatment, the effective rate was 45.8%. The effective rate went up to 100% after 6 weeks of such treatment with the cure rate of 0. The effective rate was 100% with the cure rate of 20% when the course of treatment (3 to 4 months) ended.[Conclusions] Endoneurilemma Injection cannot shortened the period needed for new Cryptococcus to turn negative in ncurolymph of cryptococcal meningitis in an obvious way. The key to improve cure rate lies in standard and enough curative course of antimycotic treatment.
