Effects Of Yiqiyangyinhuoxue Method On Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus And Carotid Intimia-mediathickness

AbjectiveRecently, the incidence rate of diabetes mellitus (DM) has increased remarkably. DM has become one of the main diseases which affect the health of human. Many kinds of chronic complications will happen to the diabetics, taking form of diabetic Macro-Vascula is one of them, based on the same pathological atherosclerosis plaque. Investigating the curative effects of yiqiyangyinhuoxue method on Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and carotid intimia-mediathickness, can provide evidence of early treatment and precautions of the diabetic Macro-Vascula forming by the TCM.MethodsThis research altogether collects 120 cases of type 2 diabetics whichconforms to qiyinliangxuxing, quxuxueyuxing. Divided the cases into two groups that of A (the control group) and B (the treatment group) stochastically,60 cases in each group. The two groups maintains the original diet control, the oral antidiabetic drug (OHA), the insulin usage and the amount used. The treatment group are given HUOXUEJIANGTANGYIN about 200ml twice a day, as well as diabetes foundation treatment. The control group just take the basis treatment of the diabetes. The study took one course of treatment which were about 3 months. Detecting the index of body mass index (BMI),blood pressure(BP),heart rate(HR),fasting plasma glucose(FPG),2-h plasma glucose(2hPG),fasting insulin(Fins),the glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1C),triglyceride(TC),cholesterol(TG),high density lipoprotein(HDL),low density lipoprotein(LDL),blood flow,carotid intimia-mediathickness (IMT) and if plaque forming at the beginning and the end of the study, and calculated insulin resistance index. Compared with the indexes between The treatment group and The control group at the end of the study.ResultsThe treatment group total effectiveness is 98.2%, while the control group is 48.1%. Compared with the control group, it has the significance difference (P<0.01). After the intension, compared with the beginning, there are statistical significances between fasting plasma glucose,2-h plasma glucose,the glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1C),fasting insulin,insulin resistance index both of che two groups (P<0.05), and there is statistical significance between body mass index,triglyceride,cholest,high density lipoprotein,low density lipoprotein,carotid intimia-mediathickness (IMT) of the treatment group (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, it has the statistical significances between the index of body mass index,fasting plasma glucose,2-h plasma glucose,fasting insulin,insulin resistance index,triglyceride,cholest,high density lipoprotein,low density lipoprotein,blood flow,carotid intimia-mediathickness (IMT) and if plaque forming (P<0.05)ConclusionFrom the study, we find out that the clinical symptoms around the treatment, compared with the control group, has the significance difference. This study proves that the index of body mass index,fasting plasma glucose,2-h plasma glucose,fasting insulin,insulin resistance index,triglyceride,cholesterol,high density lipoprotein,low density lipoprotein,blood flow,carotidintimia-mediathickness (IMT) and if plaque forming of the treatment group which took HUOXUEJIANGTANGYIN according to traditional Chinese medicine decreased. It shows that HUOXUEJIANGTANGYIN of the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes have significantly hypoglycemic, lipid-lowering, improving the role of insulin resistance, staying pathological atherosclerosis plaque and staving the change of diabetic Macro-Vascula.
