Comprehensive analysis of pestis epidemic conditions and influencial factors in Gansu Province, together with the real condition of Gansu Province, some strategic recommendations are advised, so as to prevernt and control Pestis effectively, protect human from pestis, maintain economic development and society stable.Literature and collective data between 1958 and 2009 in natural foci of plague in our province and plague monitoring data were used to discribe epidemiological and retrospective investigation, to discribe comprehensive analysis of current situation and various influencial factors.The marmot plague foci in Gannan and the ground squirrel plague focus in Longzhong occurs from time to time, the epidemic in the Qilian Mountain-Altun marmot foci is active, breaking out in local areas, there is a peak of the epidemic every 10 years, the infected area approaches to the densely populated areas; affected by the temperature becoming higher, the plague among animals occur earlier. The first case of human plague in our province was infected by direct touch with the infectious animal, affected by the human behavior,plague occur throughout the year, without significant changes, in addition,with the help of modern traffic, it is possible that plague occur thorough long distance. What is more, basic strategy in our province has been shaped, playing an important part in preventing and controling plague.Plague is one of important infectious disease that human must make great effort to control, the Chinese Communist Party and the government attach great importance to anti-plague. Through the effort of several generation of professionals and the participation, the control of plague and scientific research have made considerable progress. However, with the global temperature becoming higher, economic development, the full scale development of China's vast western regions and human behavior, plague occur new character, causing new problems. So full appreciation of the complexity of controlling and preventing plague will make great sense to improve the preventive measures of the plague, maintain human health m, promote economic development and maintain social stability.
