Objective:New and effective therapeutics that cross the blood-brain barrier (BBB) are critically needed for treatment of many brain diseases. Method:We characterize here a novel drug development platform that is broadly applicable for the development of new therapeutics with increased brain penetration. The platform is based on the Angiopep-2 peptide, a sequence derived from ligands that bind to low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein-1 (LRP-1), a receptor expressed on the BBB. Preparation peptides modify DOX-PEG-PE nanoparticles whether effect on treatment of glioma will be described on this paper. We will use live imaging technology, immunohistochemical studies, survival rate et al to investigate anti-tumor effect. The results showed that Angiopep2 modify nanoparticles compared with the control group and simple nanoparticles, live imaging of quantum levels are significantly reduced. The glial marker GFAP and platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule 1(CD31) are strong positive expression in control group but not obvious in particle groups.Result:demonstrate the significant potential of this platform for the development of novel neurotherapeutics.
