The Clinical Research Of Soft Silicone Lining Materials And The Methods To Improve Its Bonding Force

Objective:Observe the clinical effect when the silagum comfort silicone soft material is used.Explore a new and reliable way to strengthen the adhensive bounding between the silagum silicone soft material and denture base.Methods:(1) The mastication efficiency was seted out by absorption photometry of three patients in bad condition of alveolar ridge with conventional complete dentures and occlual force was seted out using T-Scanâ…¡machine. Then remove 1.5 to 2 mm from the tissue surface of original complete denture, and operate the soft material according to the product descriptions. Relevant indexs was seted out in imdiately,first week.first month,third month,sixth month.Compatibility of medicines statistical method was used in the results. The patients were asked to fill in a form about their satisfaction in facet of retention,stable,mastication function,comfort,food impaction subjectively.Then the satisfactory rate of the each index was added.(2) Make self-solidifying resin plate in 3.5cm*4.5cm*0.2cmfor 80 pieces,half of which are even and the others are with squarenes heave of 0.12cm*0.12cm.Put the silagum silicone soft material between evens and squarenes respectively, just like "sandwich".Then they were pulled open with Force Gauge (RGD-5) at the rate of 2mm/min, the largest peel strength was recorded. T-test was used in the results.Result:After using the silagum silicone soft lining materials, the mastication efficiency of the patients improved obviously, the occlusal force was significantly higher, the subjective Assessment was also desirable.Every index reached the Summit at three month after we relined the denture,then they declined as time went. The adhesion of the self-solidifying resin palte with squareness was bigger than the one without. And the differences between the improved plate and unimproved has statistical significance.Conclusion:(1) The silagum silicone soft lining materials can significantly improve the retention and the stability of the completely denture,especially for the patients whose alveolar ridge condition is poor.(2) Mastication efficiency and the subjective Assessment reached the Summit at three month after we relined the denture,then they declined as time went.(3) The adhesion between the silicone soft lining and resin base plate can be strengthened obviously by the bump on the resin plate.
