The Multiple Y-V Plasty For Scar Contracture Release

Objective:Analyzing the effectiveness of multiple Y-V plasty to release scar contracture. Investigate the principle of the mulitiple Y-V flaps.Method:The technique of the multiple Y-V plasty is described. Standard method of design and execution is presented. Typical clinical cases are introduced for better understanding this technique. Results:The multiple Y-V plasty can release and lengthen some cord-like, linear and web contracture bands. Some complications are little found using the multiple Y-V plasty like distal ischemic necrosis of flaps.Conclusion:The multiple Y-V plasty is a very simple but effective tool to release cord-like, linear and web scar contracture.
