Objective:To explore the diagnosis of combined ECT and B ultrasonography examination of thyroid nodule being benign or malignant. Methods:The clinical data, 532 cases of thyroid lesions in patients with space-occupying, were retrospectively analyzed, based on the final pathology results, the consisteny of the combined ECT and B ultrasonographical diagnosis and pathology was summarized. Data was analysed by the statistical software package SPSS 17.0. using X2 test, P<0.05 for the difference statistically significant. Results:it demostates the greater difference between the dignosis result taken only by single ECT or B ultrasonography, and the postoperative pathological result. the sensitivity, specificity and consistent rate of ECT was 52.17%,69.98% and 67.67%; B ultrasonography respectively 69.57%,78.19% and 77.07%. but the two combined examination,85.51%,87.47% and 87.22% respectively. the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:A visual diagnosis can be easily maked by preoperative examination of single ECT or B ultrasound imaging, but the judgement of thyroid nodules is not accurate, the examination of combined ECT and B ultrasonography shows greater qualitative diagnostic value to check the thyroid nodules benign or malignant, which is worth popularizing.
