OBJECTIVE To evaluate the efficacy of cardiac resynchronization therapy on Chinese patients with chronic heart failure.METHODS Access to VIP,CNKI database of computer retrieval from 2005 to 2009 published articles, supplemented by retrospective and manual liter- ature search methods, carry out Meta analysis of the results by RevMan 4.2 software.RESULITS Included 10 literature, Meta analysis showed that: the LV EDD before CRT compared with that of 1,3,6,12,24 months after CRT, combined effects of the amount of WMD were 3.47, 95% CI (-0.14,7.08 ), P = 0.06; 8.62, 95% CI (5.18, 12.05), P <0.00001; 7.34, 95% CI (2.54, 12.14), P = 0.003; 12.80, 95% CI (3.83, 21.77), P = 0.005; and 10.73, 95% CI (7.58,13.88), P <0.00 001. The LVEF before CRT compared with that of 1,3,6,12,24 months after CRT, combined effects of the amount of SMD were -1.02,95% CI (-1.39, -0.65), P <0.00001; -3.06, 95% CI (-5.05, -1.07), P = 0.003; -2.25, 95% CI (-4.05, -0.44), P = 0.01; -2.91,95% CI (-5.25, -0.57), P = 0.01; -3.19, 95% CI (-5.79, -0.60), P = 0.02. The QRS time before CRT compared with that of 3,6, 12 months after CRT, combined effects of the amount of WMD were 29.60,95% CI (22.87,36.33), P <0.00001; 24.17, 95% CI (15.02,33.32), P <0.00001; 23.59, 95% CI (15.40,31.78), P < 0.00 001. The 6MWT before CRT compared with that of 6,24 months after CRT, combined effects of the amount of WMD were -97.47,95% CI (-140.51, -54.43), P <0.0 0001; -159.62, 95% CI (-254.74, -64.50), P = 0.001. When the P <0.05 when the difference was statistically significant.CONCLUSION CRT for patients with heart failure has provided new methods of treatment to improve symptoms, cardiac function, and prognosis.
