Objective:to evaluate the efficacy and safety of entecavir for HBV-related liver failureMethods:we searched the literature on the efficacy and safety of entecavir for HBV-related liver failure from January 2005 to December 2009, assessed the quality and made a qualitative analysis, high-quality RCTs would be synthesize (meta—analysis).Result:27 studies were included, RCTs were 10,but they were low-quality RCTs and heterogeneity exists. It is unsuitable to make a meta-analysis.Conclusions:There were not real RCTs on the efficacy and safety of entec-avir for HBV-related liver failure, the efficacy and safety of entecavir for HBV-related liver failure is still unknown.
