| The post antibiotic effect (PAE) of apramycin and it's combined with amoxicillin or ampicillin against Escherichia Coli, Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus in vitro and vivo were determined based on the theory of PAE and antibacterial activity of apramycin, amoxicillin and ampicillin on three bacteria. The scientific bases were provided for the clinic reasonable application of apramycin.The MIC of apramycin, amoxicillin and ampicillin against Escherichia Coli, Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus were determined with the method of doubling dilution in vitro. The MIC of apramycin combined with amoxicillin or ampicillin on three bacteria were studied by the method of tessellaled design. The results showed that apramycin, amoxicillin and ampicillin have strong antibacterial activity against three bacteria. apramycin combined with amoxicillin or ampicillin were additive effect or synergetic effect on three bacteria.According to the MIC of three drugs, the PAE and PA-MSE of apramycin in vitro were determined with colony counting method against Escherichia Coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus aureus, and the PAE of apramycin combined with amoxicillin or ampicillin were determined on three bacteria. The induction time and concentration of bacterial suspension were studied on PAE in vitro. The PAE of apramycin and it's combined with amoxicillin or ampicillin against Escherichia Coli, Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus in vivo, were studied by the method of neutropenia associated with mouse thigh with bacteria infection model. The results showed that the PAE of apramycin were conspicuous against Escherichia Coli, Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus in vitro and vivo. The PAE were enhanced with the increasing concentration, showing strongly a concentration-dependent. The PAE of apramycin combined with amoxicillin or ampicillin were additive effect or synergetic effect on three bacteria in vitro and vivo.
