ObjectiveTo investigate the physical and chemical properties of chitosan-gelatin scaffolds prepared with different match of chitosan and gelatin, modified by incorporation of BMP-2.MethodsPrepare chitosan-gelatin scaffolds with different composition of chitosan and gelatin,the volum ratio of two mixtures is respectively 4:1,1:1,1:4. Add BMP-2 to one group.Examine the microstructure and porosity with SEM,and mesure the water absorption and surface density of the materials,discuss the data at last.ResultsChitosan-gelatin scaffolds has a large specific surface area,the structure of endoporus is pleomorphic and there are many interconnections among them.The scaffolds has a porosity minimum and a thickness maximum when the match of chitosan and gelatin is 4:1;and has a porosity maximum and a thickness minimum when the match is 1:4;and has water absorption and surface density maximum when the match is 1:4,which are 318% and 0.085g/cm3.lt has no obvious effect on the microstructure, water absorption and surface density of the material to add BMP-2 to the mixture.ConclusionWe can prepare the porous chitosan-gelatin scaffolds with freeze drying method.The physical and chemical properties are correlated with different match of chitosan and gelatin, It has no obvious effect on the microstructure, water absorption and surface density of the material to add BMP-2 to the mixture.
