ObjectiveTo evaluate the ability of 3DCT Reconstruction in determination of split renal function.Methods20patients underwent both SPECT and CEMDCT, including the renal area. Proprietary volume software was used to quantify the volume and attenuation of each kidney in precontrast, arterial and excretory phases. The volume and attenuation was used to determination the split renal function and was comparisoned to SPECT.ResultsCT-based methods for the calculation of split renal function showed correlation with no significant difference from radionuclide renography (p>0.05, t test).Pearson correlations varied from 0.486 to 0.568 (p<0.01 for each). Difference scores revealed that the excretory phase had the narrowest range. The precontrast phase had no significant difference (p>0.01).ConclusionThe determination of split renal function based on 3DCT Reconstruction and SPECT have a good correlation and small difference scores.3DCT Reconstruction may provide both the anatomic and functional characteristics of kidney.
