| ObjectiveThe number of the adult orthodontic patient is increasing alone with the advance of living standard year after year. Some of these patients had suffered from bone defects which caused by chronic periodontal disease, it make period of orthdontic treatment fulled of risk and difficulty. Tissue engineering is a rising research field which can regenerate the damaged bone of periodontal tissue. Tissue engineering has favorable effects to bone defects which resulted by chronic periodontal disease. The effects of orthodontic treatment on the bone defects which come through the repairing of tissue engineering mechanics is a question for some of clinic orthodontic doctors. Interrelated report of that question is very rare today, and the scholars have not established a chronic periodontitis animal model in the past, they only simulated the status of bone defects. In our study we set different time of orthodontic intervention to study the effect of orthodontic movement to the bone that repaired by tissue engineering methods and afford the dates for orthodontic doctors to treat the periodentitis patients.MethodsWe established the chronic periodontitis animal model in the first step in our study,then we used calcium phos-phate cement(CPC) as scaffold, bone marrow stromal cells(BMSC) as seed cells to repire the defect of bone. We study the effect of using guided tissue engineering regeneration to repair periodentitis. After this experiment finished we put the orthodontic appliance between the second molar and incisors of New zealand white rabbits after repairing 20 days and 40 days, and added the force on the appliance to move the incisors, then we observed the rebuilding of periodontal ligament and compared the difference in rebuilding tissue and nomal periodontal ligament to understand the influence of the regeneration new bone by orthodontic tooth moving.Results1 The result of experiment proved the method that we used CPC as scaffold and BMSC as seed cells is very useful for the bone defects which caused by chronic periodontal disease.2 The alveolar height loss of New zealand white rabbits was less than that in normal condition, orthodentic tooth has feasibility to the periodontal tissue that by tissue engineering rebuilding.3 BMP immuohistochemistry staining had prominently positive results in repaired groups than normal condition.4 Orthodentic tooth movement in the bone repair area has greater speed than which in the normal bone tissue,20 days group has greater speed than 40 days group, and regeneration new periodontal tissue have the same characteristic to the nomal periodontal tissue.Conclusions1 Tissue engineering technique have the effectual effect to the bone defect leaded by chronic periodontal disease.2 These is orthodontic movement feasibility in the bone which repaired by tissue engineering mothod.3 Advancing orthodentic therapy can make the period of orthodontic therapy shorten. |
