| Objective:The optimal treatment of thoracolumbar burst fractures remains controversial. The postoperative rehabilitation of thoracolumbar burst fracture with severe neurologic deficit remains a mordern medcine challenge. This study evaluates the clinical relevance of the segmental posterior fixation in the surgical treatment of thoracolumbar burst fractures and reviews the effect of Buqi Tongluo Capsule on Spinal Cord for patients with thoracolumbar burst fractures receiving anterior approach. Methods:â‘ With retrospective resrearch,26 patients with thoracolumbar burst fractures by posterior surgical treatment were divided into segmental posterior fixation group(N1=12) and nonsegmental posterior fixation group(N2=14), We observe blood loss, operative time, the preoperative kyphosis angle and postoperative kyphosis angle (within a week after operation and the last follow-up) and so on, and study the difference between two groups.â‘¡Through the prospective study., The 18 patients with thoracolumbar burst fractures with anterior surgery were divided into treatment group(N3=9) and non-treatment group(N4=9), analysis the preoperative and postoperative Frankel grade between the two groups, study the difference between two groupsResults:â‘ Segmental posterior fixation group and the nonsegmental posterior fixation group in gender, age, length of stay, preoperative kyphosis angle and load-sharing classification score were no statistically difference. The kyphosis angle correction between the two groups was not statistically significant (P> 0.05), but the loss of kyphosis angle in the segmental posterior fixation group was less than another group, and there was significant difference between two groups(P<0.05); the operative time in segmental posterior fixation group was longer than nonsegmental posterior fixation group(P<0.05), the blood loss between the two groups was not significantly different (P> 0.05), but the 14 patients of nonsegmental posterior fixation group,1 case happened postoperative breakage, no happened in the nonsegmental posterior fixation group.â‘¡The nerve function recovery in the treatment group was better than non-treatment group (P<0.05).Conclusion:â‘ This study showed that segmental posterior fixation is the effective treatment of thoracolumbar burst fractures, and can effectively prevent the loss of postoperative kyphosis angle; Although it increases the operative time, but did not increase the risk of surgery.â‘¡Buqi Tongluo Capsule has a significant effect on Spinal Cord for patients with thoracolumbar burst fractures receiving anterior approach. |
