In recent years, it has attracted more and more scientists to study the biomaterials of hydroxyapatite (HA), which has the same inorganic composition as natural bone. Now they had prepared variety of HA synthetic bone. Among of these, the artificial bone which has a three-dimensional porous body has become the focus and hot. In order to explore new composite materials, which own better biological properties and mechanical property. This paper is mainly about that according to the structure and composition of bone to prepare a kind of artificial bone:According the structure of the bone which can be considered as three layer, one is dense and others are porous to artificial the part of porous. HA powders crystals were made by a wet precipitation method. Then mix nano-HA and nano-ZrO2 powder in proportion., molding, sintering at 1200℃to obtain sintered specimens with porous diameter in 50~150μm.The purpose is to simulate the manufacturing of mesh bone structure which composed by the reinforcement of inner or outer flat layer. On the basis of manufacture the excellent nano-HA, add nano-HA to the hydrophilic polysaccharide polymer chitosan solution, stiring, and then coating to the surface of sintered specimen, sintering second at low temperature to simulate the of mesh bone structure composed by the sponge-like support body (trabecular bone). Then the microstructure and performance of the porous layer biomimetic hydroxyapatite materials were tested to analyze the structure and properties of the sample.Some factors which impact the size and morphology of nano-HA are discussed during the preparation of nano-HA, such as concentration, molar ratio, aging time. And through the control factors the better rod nano HA are obtain.By add nano-ZrO2 to nano-hydroxyapatite, the nano-ZrO2 as a reinforcement to HA ceramic materials for use as a nano-ZrO2 excellent mechanical properties, enhanced nano-HA bone mechanical properties of ceramic materials. The results showed that the incorporation of nano-ZrO2 as 20wt% in the composite, the compressive strength reached 61MPa, at the same time by adding 30wt.% of citric acid. And the materials pore size in the 50~150μm.Useing nano-HA, water-soluble chitosan as the raw material, massing in the ratio of 8:2, sintering at 800℃for 3h, sponge-like materials were prepared,it's pore size in 200~300μm, the porosity was 46.5%. And two layer materials are bonded well, finally porous artificial bone was prepared, which fake the bone structure of the inside and outside the bone plate reinforcement and sponge-like support (Trabecular bone).
