Objective To observe the effect of Salvia Ligustrazine Injection (SLI)on the permeability of blood-brain barrier(BBB) in rats after cerebral ischemia-reperfusion.Methods Establish rats middle cerebral artery occasion/-reperfusion (MCAO/R) model, at the same time, make the establishment of sham operation group. determination the EB of brain tissue at different time points. SLI-treatment and saline group were done at the point of the peak of permeability of BBB. To compare the amount of EB with the same point of groups,we investigate the influence of SLI on BBB permeability.Results:1. At 3h of reperfusion followed cerebral ischemia for 2h, the permeability of BBB began to increase, reached the peak at 24h of reperfusion. At48h,72h,the amount of EB is lower than the 24h,but higher than the control group. The amount of EB in 12h was not correlated to the 48h.2. SLI group was done at 24h of reperfusion following cerebral ischemia. The amount of EB of SLI-treatment group was significantly lower than of saline group(P<0.05). Conclusion SLI could effectively prevent the permeability of BBB and has a protective effect on BBB.
