All-ceramic materials in the field of prosthodontics are used more and more widely. A good bonding all-ceramic restoration is the key to success. Silicate content of Alumina-based or zirconia-based ceramics is not sufficient enough to form chemical bonding between silane coupling agent and ceramics, surface modification through the silicon-coated alumina-based ceramics to enhance bond strength and resin has been generally accepted practice. Solution-gelatin (sol-gel) synthesis of nano-composites containing ultrafine particles of silicon in oxide matrices has been rapidly developed, as an easier and less complicated method in making coating, it has been investigated in various situations. Pre-experiment has conducted a preliminary exploration confirmed silica sol-gel alumina-based coating can enhance the bond strength of ceramic and resin. The purpose of the first part of this study was to prepare nanostructured silica coating on the surface of glass-infiltrated alumina ceramic with sol-gel process, and to evaluate the effect of nano-silica coatings prepared by different concentration silica sol on fracture strength of alumina ceramic, and to explore its mechanism of initial hope for the future will be sol -gel method is applied to provide a theoretical and experimental support.The detection method for evaluation of bonding quality used by almost 100% of the mechanical properties of in vitro test with the micro-morphology, spectrum, spectral analysis and so on. Can not be directly detected in the oral rehabilitation of the bonded body, and completely under the conditions in the laboratory ,simulation test environment for the conduct of the mouth can not be achieved, therefore, the traditional dental prosthesis bond evaluation showed deficiencies. Ultrasonic non-destructive testing technology that is based on the physical interface bonded to identify changes in the nature of bonding quality. The type of defect, shape, size, and its specific location in which can be inferred from changes in physical properties of bonding site of the defect. To determine whether the quality of bond is qualified, the relationship between bond strength and the physical properties of the degree of changes or defects in the sample should be verified. To compare the traditional detection methods of the adhesive quality, the ultrasonic technology to prosthetic replacement and bonding materials not only measures their physical characteristics (such as elastic modulus, attenuation coefficient, etc.) quantitatively, also reflects the more complex structures, such as the structure of the impurities, defects and the distribution of interface contact characteristics. Other more this kind of technology do not undermine the bonded specimen, which has the potential for follow-up testing. The main contents of the second part of the subject are establishment of bonded structure theory model, experimental determination of physical parameters of material properties of prosthetic materials, bonding agents. Using high intensity ultrasound and difference frequency wave to exposure bonded sample respectively, to analysis of the sensitivity and resolution of its various physical parameters on bonding quality, and to verify the feasibility of theoretical models, as well as oral adhesive ultrasonic testing bonding strength.Apart from considering the bonding of ceramic bonding strength, the color change of ceramic adhesive resin cement is also the area can not be ignored. Because of the translucent ceramic, in theory, The color of resin cement can through all-ceramic restoration ceramic layer, thus the final color of restoration also plays an important role. Partâ… Effects of nano-silica coating on fracture strength of glass infiltrated alumina ceramicObjective: Aim of this study was to evaluate the Effects of nano-silica coating prepared by different concentration silica sol on fracture strength of glass infiltrated alumina ceramic after bonding.Methods: Five In-Ceram alumina ceramic groups were fabricated to receive different surface treatments as sandblasting (group A), sandblasting + silane (group B), sandblasting +20% silica sol + silane (group C), sandblasting +30% silica sol + silane (group D), sandblasting +40% silica sol + silane (group E). Each ceramic disc was bonded to dentin with dual-cured resin cement, and then fracture strength of these samples was tested. Prepared one sample of each group as before, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS) was used to analyze the interface.Results: There existed difference among the five groups(P=0.000), group C,D,E were higher than group A and B(P=0.000). There was not only no difference between group A and B, but also among group C,D,E. Small crack was detected in the interface of group A and B, but was not existed in group C,D,E.Conclusion: A higher fracture strength could be acquired through preparing silica coating with sol-gol process on sandblasted In-Ceram ceramic surface followed by application of silane. But no difference is existed among the groups prepared by different concentration silica sol.Partâ…¡The study of ultrasonic detection for the quality of zirconia ceramic bonding by non-linear resonanceObjective: To analysis of bond strength of zirconia ceramic, using ultrasonic testing by non-linear resonance. To seek a higher sensitive physical parameters for bond strength changes.Methods: Founded the physical model of zirconia ceramic bonding interface . Used silicon coating by sol-gel to modify zirconia ceramic bonding surface. Strong and weak bonding model were Designed, zirconia ceramic bonding specimen was bonded by resin adhesives. ultrasonic transmission signal detected to analysis of the resonance and non-linear characteristics of interface.Results: There are differences between strong and weak bonding groups in the wide/ narrow-band transmission signal amplitude, offset broadband spectrum, narrow-band transmission coefficient fundamental change, narrow-band equivalent non-linear changes in the parameters.Conclusion: The resonance frequency shift, the fundamental transmission coefficient, the equivalent non-linear parameters may be suitable for testing the quality of bonding.Partâ…¢Color variations in different resin-based composite products after UV irradiationObjective: This study investigated the color stability of eight resin-based composite products after UV aging.Methods: 40 discs for eight groups (Group A, Biscem; Group B, PermaCem; Group C, Choice; Group D, Elite Flo; Group E, Clearfil AP-X; Group F, Dyract extra; Group G, Durafill VS; H, Filtek Z350 Universal) were prepared. Changes in color of test samples were determined before and after UV aging for 8, 16 and 24 hour using the CIE-Lab system by a colorimeter. The results were analyzed by one-way ANOVA.Results: The color change of composite disks suffering UV aging was significantly different when irradiated different time. Color difference values amonge the resin cement groups ranged from 1.85-2.60 for 8 hours to 2.88-4.55 for 24 hours. The values amonge composite resin from 1.35-2.66 for 8 hours to 3.36-14.31 for 24 hours. PermaCem,Durafill VS,Filtek Z350 Universal showed the biggest color change, while difference was found between other groups.Conclusions: It can be concluded that for some products, UV irradiation leads to color instability. It's different between groups.
