Objective:To observe the effect of cerebral spinal fluid drainage by dural puncture combined with position change for patients with cerebrospinal rhinorrhea after pituitary or nasal endoscopic surgery. Methods:three cases of cerebrospinal rhinorrhea after pituitary adenoma surgery and one case after nasal endoscopic surgery were managed by adjusting head-up position gradually after failed spinal drainage with an epidural catheter. Results:The cerebrospinal rhinorrhea ceased in 3~5 days in all 4 cases without any complication. Conclusion:The cerebral spinal fluid drainage by dural puncture combined with head-up position is an effective and safe way for patients with cerebrospinal rhinorrhea.
