Objective:To research and compare the impact on the degree of conversion of porcelain laminate veneer resin composite under traditional light-curing mode and soft-start light-curing modeMethods:The 3M porcelain laminate veneer resin composite was used as experiment material. It was divided into two groups with five samples for each group, limitative conglutinate area diameter is 5mm.A:Traditional light-curing mode (450mw/cm2×40S).B:Soft-Start light-curing mode (270mw/cm2×10s+450mw/cm2×30s).After 24 hours, degree of conversion of all the samples was measured by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR).Results:Soft-Start light-curing mode showed a slightly higher DC than that of traditional light-curing mode, however, there is no significant difference between these two groups (p>0.05).Conclusion:1. There is no significant difference on the DC of adhesive resin between these two modes of light-curing. It means soft-start light-curing can not raise or reduce the DC of adhesive resin. And it's easy to operate. So it can be use in clinic.2. The research object in most of the previous experiments is composite resin. A large amount of literature and experimental data are about resin. Although porcelain laminate veneer resin composite is similar to composite resin, the differences between these two materials still exist clinically. The ultimate difference is of thickness. This experiment introduces a new type of light-curing mode, and it is proved effectively.
