| Objective:To test LKB1 and SP1 expressions in breast cancer tissue, adjacent normal breast tissue and combine with some clinical pathological factors to discuss the relationship between the expressions of LKB1 and SP1 and the progress, metastasis and prognosis of breast cancer.Methods:Immunohistological Elivision staining was used to detect the expressions of LKB1 and SP1 in 90 cases of human breast cancer and 60 adjacent normal breast tissue and the different expressions of LKB1 and SP1 among lymph nodes metastatic and non-metastatic human breast cancer, including 56 metastatic cases and 34 non-metastatic cases were also under investigation. The relationship of LKB1 and SP1 expressions with clinicopathological factors in breast cancer was also analyzed.Results:In adjacent normal breast tissue,the expression of LKB1 protein was found in 47 cases among 60 cases(positive rate 78.3%).The expression of SP1 was found in 19 cases among 60 cases(positive rate 31.7%).In breast cancer, the expression of LKB1 protein was found in 29 cases among 90 cases(positive rate 32.2%). the expression of SP1 was found in 62 cases among 90 cases(positive rate 68.9%). The positive rates of LKB1 expressions in adjacent normal breast tissue were obviously higher than breast cancer tissue(P<0.05); The positive rates of SP1 expressions in breast cancer tissue were obviously higher than adjacent normal breast tissue(P<0.05), the expressions of LKB1 have relation to lymph node metastasis, tumor size and clinical stage(P<0.05),the expressions of SP1 have relation to lymph node metastasis and clinical stage(P<0.05); Oppositive correlations were observed between the expression of LKB1 and SP1 in breast cancer tissue (P<0.01) .Conclusions:1.The expression of LKB1 in adjacent normal breast tissue was high than breast cancer tissues.The low expression of LKB1 might be an important factor in the development of breast cancer. the expressions of LKB1 have relation to lymph node metastasis,tumor size and clinical stage.2.The expression of SP1 in breast cancer tissues was high than adjacent normal breast tissues, the expressions of SP1 have relation to lymph node metastasis and clinical stage. SP1 have relation to the carcinogenesis of breast cancer . It could be used to evaluate prognosis.3.Oppositive correlations were observed between the expression of LKB1 and SP1 in human breast cancer tissue. To monitoring the expression of them can evaluate prognosis and metastasis. |
