Extraction Of Symptomatic Units Based On The Database Of The Database Of The Medical Records Of The Past Dynasties

Objective:To define symptomatic units from the medical information on the database of the medical records of the past dynasties.Methods:First, a hypothesis of symptomatic units was proposed in this paper. Then, using the principles and methods of hermeneutics, we try to get fully understand and expression of modern languages according to the clinical founding of Chinese medicine in the past dynasties. For the received 5 789 symptoms markers, exclude the evidence pathogenesis, symptoms time of occurrence and aggravated, mitigation factors, screening out 2 751 new symptoms markers. Then Statistics on the number of occurrences of them of Medical Records in the database.Using the methods of division of logic,427 symptomatic units had been screened as the standard terminology of TCM symptoms, which have the characteristics of single intension and limit amount.Results:A total of 427 TCM symptomatic units are standardized. According to TCM theory, they can be divided into five categories:76 heart-related symptomatic units,60 lung-related symptomatic units,109 spleen-related symptomatic units,54 liver-related symptomatic units and 128 kidney-related symptomatic units.Conclusion:First, every symptom can be divided into too parts i.e., symptom location and symptom nature. Second, we can distinguish the vital phenomenon from the observers, the observational tools, objects, angles and results. Third, every TCM symptomatic unit is a single independent variable content which can be carried out as statistical analysis.
