Deleterious substances in traditional Chinese medicine, including heavy metal, aflatoxin, pesticide residue, microbial Limit, seriously effect the quality and medicinal safety of Chinese medicine, which has aroused great concern of governments and publicity and has become the development bottle-neck of traditional Chinese medicine.As important and common traditional Chinese medicines, Coptis and Angelica have a long application history on clinical. The current Phamacopeia, having only the MRLs of OCPs about Astragalus membranaceus (Fisch.) and Radix Glycyrrhizae, can not adapt the present conditions of Chinese medicine. The OCPs and OPPs in Coptis, Angelica, and the soil planted the medicines were studied and estabished the MRLs in this article. Simultaneously, a part of samples was selected to determine heavy metal, including As, Hg, Pb, Cd, Cu. It will standardize every links in Chinese medicine production to decrease and remove deleterious substances in traditional Chinese medicine.1. Organochlorine pesticides residues in herbal products:According to the Chinese Phamacopeia appendix IXQ, the sample, by extraction with acetone-water, partition with CH2Cl2, and purification with sulphuric acid, were detected by GC-μ-ECD. The EMRLs was made by the detecting results.2. Organochlorine pesticides residues in the soil from different base plant:According to GB/T 14550-2003, the sample, by ether extraction with acetone-petroleum and purification with sulphuric acid, were detected by GC-μ-ECD.3.Organophosphorus pesticides residues in herbal products:According to the Chinese Phamacopeia appendix IXQ, the sample, by ice sonication extraction with ethylacetate and purification with SPE, were detected by GC-μ-ECD. The EMRLs was made by the detecting results.4. Organophosphorus pesticides residues in the soil from different base plant: According to GB/T 14552-93, the sample, by sonication extraction with acetone-water, partition with CH2C12, and purification with coagulation, were detected by GC-μ-ECD. 5.Determination of heavy metal:According to the Chinese Phamacopeia appendix IXB, the sample, by digested with microwave digestion system, were directly analyzed by atomic fluorescence spectrometric and atomic fluorescence spectrophotometry.Diabetes is a common and frequently-occuring diseases, which generally caused by insulin resistance or disorder of insulin function. It was a long history that Coptis was applied to treat diabetes. It was demonstrated by modern medicine that the alkaloids are the major compositions for treatment diabetes. The Western blot was adopt to explore mechanism of alkaloids in Coptis to cure diabetes.
