Research backgroundDuring almost fifty years of progress since its creation, fat emulsion has developed from the initial long chain fat emulsion to the recent SMOF, forming a series of preparations of different prescription. Its prime function has involved the direction of adequate energy supply and regulation of inflammatory reaction and the increase of immune function. With the application of fish oil emulsion as a new number in parenteral nutrition fat emulsion family, it is quite essential to study the influence and mechanism of fish oil on inflammatory response and immune function.ObjectiveTo explore the effect ofω-3 fish oil fat emulsion on the CRP and humoral immune function in patients with systemic inflammatory response syndrome and possible mechanism.MethodsForty-five patients with SIRS were randomly divided into routine total parenteral nutrition group (group A)25 cases and fish oil fat emulsion+TPN treatment group (group B)20 cases, All the patients received treatments of total parenteral nutrition with equal nitrogen content and calories, group B receivedω-3 fish oil fat emulsion 100m1·p-1·d-1,and lasted for 5days, The levels of CRP and immune globulin were checked separately before the treatment of TPN,and on the 5th day after the beginning of the treatment of TPN .ResultAll patients were treated after 5days,CRP,APACHEⅡevaluation there were significant difference between the two groups(P﹤0.05);Immune globulin,A group(IgA,IgG)decreased significantly after 5th day , there was significant difference between the two groups after treatments (P﹤0.05);ConclusionsThe emulsion ofω-3 fish oil fat can decrease significantly the level of CRP on patients with SIRS,reduces inflammatory reaction, and can enhance humoral immune function on patients with SIRS.
