Observation On The Clinical Therapeutic Efficacy Of The Addition And Subtraction Of Cang Ping Powder Treating Children With Chronic Cough Due To Upper Airway Cough Syndrome

Objective:To study and discuss the clinical efficacy of addition and subtraction of Cang Ping Powder. Evaluate the clinical effect of chronic cough caused by UACS objectively using the method of disseminating, announce lung tonifying spleen, replenishing Qi and activating blood, in order to get more effective treatments.Methods:60 patients with UACS (nose source) with the syndrome of Qi deficiency of lung and spleen were divided into two groups randomly, treatment group> controlled group, they were both 30cases. The controlled added to conventional western medicine as loratadine, combining with Bi-Lang Spurting nose. If there is an acute nose catarrh symptom, or with Bacterial infection which lead to the elevation of white blood cell total-and the neutral granular cell percentage, we will add Antibiotic for one week. The treatment one added to oral addition and subtraction of Cang Ping Powder. According to the characteristic of syndrome of this disease, we choose 7 TCM Symptoms such as cough.. uncomfortable in swallows as well as partial symptoms for observation target, formulate the standard of symptoms and syndromes around treatment, Observe clinical efficiency between the two groups, the change of symptoms and syndromes around treatment, then analyze contrastively.Results1. Clinical EffectTCM Treatment Group with 33.33%clinical control rate,30%excellent rate,26.67% effective rate,90%total effective rate, which is obviously higher than the WM Control Group with 23.33%clinical control rate,23.33%excellent rate,6.67% effective rate,53.33%ineffective rate (P<0.05). The result indicated that the treatment method of addition and subtraction of Cang Ping Powder in curing UACS with deficiency Qi of lung and spleen was more effective than the controlled conventional western medicine group.2. Comparison the Score Change of the Symptoms and Signs before and after the TreatmentThrough the statistics analysis, TCM Treatment Group is obviously more effective than the WM Control Group (P<0.05). In TCM Treatment Group, the score of the symptoms and signs after the treatment decrease obviously (P<0.05). Comparing to the WM Control Group, the TCM Treatment Group greatly improve the symptoms of cough, sensation of foreign body in pharynx, sensation of postnasal drip, etc. (P<0.05). The results prove that the addition and subtraction of Cang Ping Powder can obviously improve the symptoms and signs of the patients from the TCM Treatment Group, it is more effective than the WM Control Group, with certain and creditable clinical effect.Conclusions:The addition and subtraction of Cang Ping Granule can improve several symptoms and local signs of chronic cough caused by UACS (nose source); it is more effcetive than the WM Control Group.
