Purpose: To explore the expression of integrinβ1,fibronectin and laminin in human glioma cellof the patientswith neurogliocytoma and to see whether or not integrinβ1,fibronectin and lamininexpression associate with thedifferentiation and pathologic grading.It was expected that thisstudy could reveal some essentialqualities of the glioma and provide potential application forjudging the malignant grades andbiological treatment.Methods: The expression of integrinβ1,fibronectin and laminin was detected in 60 cases ofhuman glioma and 15 specimens of normal brain tissues by immunohistochemistry staining.Result: (1)Normal brain tissue specimens of integrinβ1 and fibronectin did not express. Theexpression of laminin was low,and the positive rates were 20.00%(3/15).(2)The positive rates ofintegrinβ1 were 40.00%(24/60) in glioma.The positive rates of integrinβ1 increased along withthe elevation of glioma malignancy(P<0.05).(3)The positive rates of fibronectin were 31.67%(19/60) in glioma.The positive rates of fibronectin increased along with the elevation of gliomamalignancy(P<0.05). (4)The positive rates of laminin were 46.67%(28/60) in glioma.Thepositive rates of laminin increased along with the elevation of glioma malignancy (P<0.05).(5)Significant positive correlation was observed between the expression of integrinβ1 andfibronectin(r=0.518,P<0.05).(6)Significant positive correlation was observed between theexpression of integrinβ1 and laminin(r=0.621 ,P<0.05).Conclusion: ?The positive correlation existed between the expression of integrinβ1,fibronectinor laminin and the pathological grading of the human glioma.?Detecting integrinβ1,fibronectinand laminin in the human glioma can be used in diagnosing,judging the malignancy degree,theprognosis and prognostic indicators. ? The high expression of Integrinβ1, fibronectin andlaminin in gliomas maybe promotes the malignant progression of gliomas.
