bjective: To observe the curative effect of Acupotomy on vertebral artery type of cervical spondylosis. Explore an efficient, safe, fast, easy and economical green medicaltreatment, so as to servethe clinical better. Methods: 72 patients met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups of 36 cases. The treatment group was treated by Acupotomy and the contrast group by conventional acupuncture . Using SAS software proc plan process, resulting in 6 sections and groups of 2 to 72 cases of group geometric random code sequences are generated randomly allocated into the coding sequence, sealed, opaque envelope. Determine the eligibility of subjects, the order opened the envelope and assigned subjects into the corresponding test group.t The Acupotomy group were treated every three days, in all 2-4times, 2weeks for a course of treatment. Routine acupuncture group treatment 5 times per week, rest 2 days. 3 weeks for a course of treatment. Before and after treatment of cervical vertigo symptoms and functional assessment scale, the positive signs, DR chip changes were compared. Efficacy evaluation after treatment. Results: 72 patients, 68 patients completed the entire course of the study, 3 cases dropped out. removed in 1 case. There was no statistical difference in baseline data between two groups(P>0.05). The total effective rate in treatment group was(91.4%) much better than control group (84.8%). but no significant difference by comparison (P>0.05). but the markedly effective rate in treatment group (77.1%) was significantly higher than in the markedly effective rate (51.5%). the significant difference compared (P<0.05). Before and after treatment of cervical vertigo symptoms and functional integration compared to the control group before and after treatment (P<0.05), the difference wasstatistically significant. Before and after treatment (P<0.05)the difference was statistically significant. DR signs ofthe two groups after treatment compared to the treatment group to improve the three aspects of arc disorders than the control group, (P<0.05), the difference was statistically significant. Comparing the two groups after treatment, symptoms, treatment group, the "muscle spasm, tenderness, " improvement rate than the control group, (P<0.05) significant difference. The treatment group "distorted vertebral artery test" to improve therate was higher, but (P>0.05), no significant difference. Acupotomy therapy can significantly improve symptoms and function of cervical vertigo (P<0.05), ease muscle cramps, tenderness (P <0.05), restore cervical curvature (P<0.05), short course, without any significant adverse reactions. Conclusion: The Acupotomy treatment of vertebral artery type of cervical spondylosis was significantly, security, quick, and its mechanism may be related to relieve muscle spasm, restoring cervical lordosis and correct vertebral instability, cervical adjustment mechanical imbalance, thereby improving the vertebrobasilar related.
