Objective: To evaluate the diagnostic value of acute aortic syndrome (including aortic dissection , intramural hematoma and penetrating atherosclerotic ulcer )with dual-source 64 row computed tomography. Methods: A retrospective study was performed during a period of time from February 2009 to March 2011.Two hundred and eighty-five consecutive patients(186 men and 99 women , aged from 24--86 years ,mean 60.22±12.86 years)had been undergone DSCT scans were studied in radiology department of the first hospital of jilin university. After scanned, the pictures had been spread to workstations with corresponding post-processing including multi-planar reconstruction ( MPR ) ,maximum intensify projection ( MIP ) ,curve reconstruction(CR)and volume rendering (VR).Results:In the group of Two hundred and eighty-five patients,99 patients were demonstrated with aortic dissection(AD),34.74%;50 patients were diagnosed with intramural hematoma(IMH),17.54%;57 patients were demonstrated with penetrating atherosclerotic ulcer(PAU),20.00% and 32 patients were diagnosed with complex disease,11.23%.Compared the different parts of the aortic dissection with the different nature of the aortic dissection , there was found with no significant(P>0.05).Aortic dissection were mostly occurred in the aortic arch. Conclusion: Dual-source 64 row computed tomography was a very useful tool for detecting acute aortic syndrome, which can provide abundant imaging basis for the evaluation of clinical diagnosis and treatment. Objective: To research the imaging characteristics of penetrating atherosclerotic ulcer with dual-source 64 row computed tomography scanned and to deduce the relation ship between penetrating atherosclerotic ulcer, intramural hematoma and aortic dissection. Methods : A retrospective study was performed during a period of time from February 2010 to February 2011.Seventy-nine consecutive patients(53 men and 26 women ,aged from 35--81 years, mean 61.42±11.75 years)had been undergone DSCT scans were studied in radiology department of the first hospital of Jilin university .Dual-source 64 row computed tomography scanner was used. Contrasted enhanced continuous volume scanning was performed. The scanning range primarily from the arch of aorta to iliac artery bifurcate place. Results: Seventy-nine patients with penetrating atherosclerotic ulcer was diagnosed. Among them ,44 patients associated with acute aortic syndrome,35 patients associated with bosom frowsty, shortness of breath or other symptoms. The performance of seventy-nine patients' ulcer : papillary ulcer 35 patients, refers to shape ulcer in 2 cases, mushrooms ulcer in 3 cases, semicircle ulcer in 6 cases, irregular shape ulcer in 33 patients. Simple ulcer 43 cases, compound ulcer 36 cases. The relationship between the ulcer form and the nature of ulcer have statistically significant(P<0,01).In the group of 79 patients' ulcer, aortic arch more vulnerable to developing ulcers. Conclusion: Dual-source 64 row computed tomography can clear display aortic atheroma ulcers, and accurate judge the location and the form , which can also deduce the relationship between penetrating atherosclerotic ulcer ,intramural hematoma and aortic dissection. The different features of the involved aortic wall were principal predictors of the prognoses and were used for the evaluation of clinical treatment. Objective: To display ascending aorta clarity of the distinction between dual-source computed tomography double energy scanning, retrospective ECG and conventional aorta CTA and to compare the absorbed dose between the different scanning modes. Methods: A retrospective study was performed during a period of time from February 2009 to March 2011. Eighty-five consecutive patients(62 men and 23 women , aged from 34--79 years, mean 63.72±10.89 years)had been undergone DSCT scans were studied in radiology department of the first hospital of Jilin university . Among them,35 patients(41.2%) who were used conventional aorta CTA scanning as Research group A,24 patients(28.2%) who were used double energy scanning as Research group B,26 patients(30.6%) who were used retrospective ECG scanning as Research group C.Results: The eighty-five patients who used conventional aorta CTA scanning ,double energy scanning and retrospective ECG scanning can achieve clinical diagnosis standard, but used double energy scanning can reduce the absorbed dose,P<0.01 ,and reduced the harm for inspection. Different scanning mode for ascending aorta clear degree of comparison,P<0.01,which means used retrospective ECG scanning can reduce the artifacts of aortic, aortic root and ascending aorta produced with heart throb. The vascular image which used retrospective ECG scanning was considered, helping aorta vascular breach observations. Conclusion: Dual-source 64 row computed tomography can diagnosis aortic dissection ,used double energy scanning can reduce the absorbed dose, used retrospective ECG scanning clearly display the first aorta crevasse .The first aorta crevasse was displayed the same between used double energy scanning and conventional aorta CTA scanning.
