| Objectives:To investigate the efficacy of weight-reduction and obesity-prevention of Puerh tea on obese SD rats induced by high-lipid diet. Methods:â… Different dosages of Puerh tea soup had been administered to the successfully induced SD rats for 45 consecutive days for the weight-reduction trial.â…¡While receiving high-lipid diet to induce obesity model, SD rats had been giving different dosages of Puerh tea soup for 60 days in a row for the prophylactic trial. Body weights were observed during the intervention period. At the end of intervention, blood lipid levels were measured, and body fat, liver weight and obese index were put into comparison, levels of serum FFA were measured in the weight-reduction trial, while the measurement of serum leptin levels, the observation of livers'denaturalizing and the comparison of adipocytes size were conducted for the prophylactic trial. Results:â… (the weight-reduction trial):By comparing Puerh tea groups and model groups:1.body weight, body fat, liver weight and obese index of rats have been reduced.2. HDL-C, the ratio of HDL-C and TC (HDL-C/TC) of rats have been increased. Meanwhile, in the high-dosage group of the fermenting Puerh tea, serum TG and VLDL-C of rats have been declined.3. The concentration of serum FFA of rats also have been increased.â…¡(the prophylactic trial):1. Puerh Tea can restrain the gaining of body weight and body fat of the rats induced by high-lipid diet.2.The high-dosage Puerh Tea can restrain the raise of serum TG and VLDL-C, and increase the level of serum HDL-C in the high-lipid diet rats.4.The high-dosage Puerh Tea can reduce adipocytes size and relieve the fatty denaturalization degree of hepatic cells in the high-lipid diet rats. 5.serum leptin levels were elevated in the high-dosage group rats for the fermented Puerh tea. Conclusion:puerh tea, including fermenting and fermented Puerh tea, shows significant effectiveness of weight-reduction and obesity-prevention on obese SD rats induced by high-lipid diet.
