| Background&Objective: Pancreatectomy is the most important treatment for tumor of Pancreatic body tail, pancreatic duct stones, pancreatic cyst and so on.This study was to evaluate the major risk factors of postoperative complications of pancreatectomy for pancreatic head carcinoma and periampullary carcinoma. Methods:Clinical data of 61 patients with surgical disease underwent pancreatectomy in the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University from Jun.2002 to Oct.2010,were analyzed. Eleven clinicopathologic factors that could possibly influence postoperative mortality were selected for univariate analysis. Results:Univariate analysis showed that body mass index(X~2=11.508,P=0.023),operative time(X~2=9.863,P=0.035),intraoperative blood loss(X~2=7.216,P=0.043),extended lymphadenectomy (X~2=10.477,P=0.026),pancreatic texture (X~2=8.847,P=0.022),operation method(X~2=7.336,P=0.039),surgical technique for pancreatic remnant(X~2=13.123,P=0.012)and multiple organ operation(X~2=10.421,P=0.047)are independent factors. The facts of the sex(X~2=0.032,P=0.836),age(X~2=0.730,P=0.577) and preoperative serum albumin (X~2=0.051,P=0.756)are unrelated to affect the incidence of complications. Conclusion:Postoperative mortality of pancreatectomy is closely related to body mass index, operative time, intraoperative blood loss, pancreatic texture, surgical technique for pancreatic remnant and extended lymphadenectomy. |
