Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the galvanic corrosion behavior between HBIC-Ti implant and Au-Pt alloy,Ni-Cr alloy, Co-Cr alloy,casting pure Ti in artificial saliva with different pH and fluoride contents.It was used for references and basis for selecting suprastructure in dental implantation dental alloys in the clinic.Methods:1 Preparation of alloys specimens: HBIC-Ti implant(Ti-HBIC) of commonly used dental alloys : Ni-Cr alloys, Co-Cr alloy, Au-Pt alloy,casting pure Ti were selected.Each type of alloy was cast into 4 samples under the manufacture instruction, all samples were shaped into a cylindrical form, in order to constitute the cap of a rotating disk electrode. With 4mm diameter, 10mm high, cylinders were wedged into PTFE pipage with 3.5mm diameter,the exposed surface of metal was 0.1257cm2. All the samples were ground and polished as follows: the specimens were subjected to waterproof abrasive paper on 220, 400, 600, 800 ,1000grit silicon carbide and then to metallographic sandpaper on 400,800,1200 grit silicon carbide and 20-50nm Al2O3,at last they were immersed into artificial saliva for 24 h.2 The preparation of the artificial saliva : Six different artificial saliva:pH6.8(A),pH5.6(B),pH6.8with0.1%F-(C),pH5.6with0.1%F-(D), pH6.8with0.2%F-(E) ,pH 5.6 with0.2%F-(F).3 In A,B,C,D,E,F artificial saliva, 4 kinds of commonly used dental metal (alloy), respectively HBIC titanium implants (TH) after the electrochemical corrosion, surface composition change and the metal ions in artificial saliva, the amount of precipitation were tested by the classic three electrodes system of electrochemical method. Results:Specimens of four in different artificial saliva changes in the surface of metal components1.1 Nickel-chromium alloy Artificial saliva in the six specimens measured the weight percentage of surface nickel A>C>E>B>D>F ,one difference between the groups were statistically(p<0.05)1.2 Cobalt-chromium alloy Artificial saliva in the six specimens measured the weight percentage of surface cobalt A>B>C>D>E>F, one difference between the groups were statistically(p<0.05)1.3 Casting pure titanium Artificial saliva in the six specimens measured the weight percentage of titanium surface A>B>C>E>D>F,one difference between the groups were statistically(p<0.05)1.4 Au-Pt alloy Artificial saliva in the six specimens measured the weight percentage of the surface of gold A>B>C>E>D>F ,there were no significant difference between the two of C and E, one difference between the others were statistically(p<0.05)2 The combination of gold ions in the six components of artificial saliva changes2.1 Nickel-chromium alloy Artificial saliva in the six measured the concentration of nickel ions F>D>B>E>C>A ,one difference between the groups were statistically(p<0.05)2.2Cobalt-chromium alloy Artificial saliva in the six measured the concentration of cobalt ions F>E>D>C>B>A, one difference between the groups were statistically(p<0.05)2.3 Casting pure titanium group Artificial saliva in the neutral titanium ions are not measured,artificial saliva in the five measured the concentration of titanium ions F>D>E>C>B, one difference between the groups were statistically(p<0.05)2.4 Au-Pt alloy Artificial saliva in the neutral gold ions are not measured, artificial saliva in the five measured the concentration of gold ions F>D>E>C>B, there were no significant difference between the two of C and E,one difference between the others were statistically(p<0.05)Conclusion:1 At neutral pH = 6.8 in the artificial saliva Au-Pt alloys, nickel-chromium alloy, cobalt chromium alloy, casting pure titanium have good corrosion resistance ,Surface no significant change in metal content, Artificial saliva in a small amount of metal ion precipitation2 In acidic pH = 5.6 in the artificial saliva, and in the neutral compared to artificial saliva, Nickel-chromium alloy significantly changes the surface composition, Artificial saliva in the precipitation of metal ions more, no significant changes in Au-Pt alloy, cobalt chromium alloy, casting titanium.3 Adding fluoride in artificial saliva after, Au-Pt alloys, nickel-chromium alloy, cobalt chromium alloys, titanium casting the surface of the metal components are obvious change, which cast titanium and gold platinum alloy by adding fluoride to the acidic environment of sensitive, changes of metal components in the neutral artificial saliva were significantly different than.4 The four alloys Au-Pt alloy, casting pure titanium implant upper crown is ideal for metal, acid and fluorine implant and crown the environment will increase the electrochemical corrosion, patients with oral implants should avoid the use of fluoride products, while maintaining oral hygiene to reduce the acidic environment.
