| Objective:Galectin-7is a member of galectin family,JNK1 is a hypotype of JNK,JNK belongs to MAPK family.This article investigates expression and significance of galectin-7 and JNK1 in liver cancer tissue. Methods:Immunochemistry was employed to determine the expression of galectin-7 and JNK1 in HCC tissues and adjacent normal liver tissues in 46 cases of HCC. Furthermore,the correlation between expression of galectin-7 and JNK1 and clinicopathological parameters was analyzed. Result:1. Immunochemist studies showed that the positive expression of galectin-7 was 16 (34.8%) in HCC, which significantly lower than that in adjacent normal liver tissues(67.4%). The positive expression of JNK1 was 14 (30.4%) and significantly lower than that in adjacent normal liver tissues(63.0%). The expression of galectin-7 and JNK1 in normal liver tissue was negative. 2.Clinicopathological evaluation indicated no significant correlation between galectin-7 expression and gender,age,transformer of carcinoma, hepatocirrhosis and histopathological differentiation.There is no significant correlation between JNK1 expression and gender,age, transformer of carcinoma and hepatocirrhosis,but there is correlation between JNK1 expression and histopathological differentiation. Conclusions:Galectin-7 and JNK1 can express both in HCC and adjacent normal liver tissues. There is correlation between JNK1 expression and histopathological differentiation. There is correlation between galectin-7 and JNK1.Our results indicate that galectin-7 and JNK1 may play roles in hepatocarcinogenesis. |
