Objective To investigate the Correlation between the parameters of left ventricular function detected by Radionuclide Cardiac Blood-pool imaging and the serum concentration of B-type natriuretic peptide(BNP)in chronic heart failure(CHF) patients. Methods The study groups contained 88 patients with CHF and 30 adults with normal left ventricular function served as control group. The concentration of serum BNP were detected by CENTAUR automatic chemluminescence immunoassay and left ventricular function were detected by radionuclide cardiac blood-pool imaging using GE Millennium VG SPECT. The correlation between the parameters of left ventricular function and BNP was analyzed. Results (1)Compared to the control group, the left ventricular function parameters and BNP levels had significant difference in different clinical heart function level; (2) The value of LVEF in heart failure group was lower than that of the control, however, the serum BNP was higher than in the control. In CHF groups (the group 1 and group 2), the lower the LVEF, the higher the serum BNP concentration, the difference was significant (P<0.05);(3)The parameters of LVEF, PER, PFR were negatively correlated with BNP, and the PS was positively correlated (P<0.05). Conclusion Serum BNP level is highly correlated with the parameters of left ventricular function detected by radionuclide cardiac blood-pool imaging; The two united can be used as the guidance indicators of diagnosis of heart failure and the degree of cardiac dysfunction.
