ObjectiveTo describe the characteristics of anxiety related emotion in middle school students in Changsha, and to explore the social and psychological risk factors of adolescents with anxiety disorders.Methods(1) A sample of 2999 middle school students (ages 11-19 years) in Changsha were screened using stratified cluster sampling. Self-made questionnaire for basic date and Screen for Child Anxiety Related Emotional Disorders(SCARED) were filled to evaluate. Then the subjects, whom with a total score higher than cut-off point of the Chinese norm of SCARED (>25) were involve to data analysis.(2) The Screen for Child Anxiety Related Emotional Disorders(SCARED), Behavioral Inhibition Scale(BIS), Parental Bonding Instrument(PBI), Adolescent Self-rating Life Event Checklist(ASLEC), Resilience Scale(RS), Strength and Difficulty Questionnaire(SDQ) were filled by participants from both cases group(n=80) and control group (n=92). Then, adolescents with anxiety disorders were interviewed by Development and Well-Being Assessment (DAWBA). Results(1) Seven hundred and thirty-three of 2999 subjects aged 11-19 years old with a total score higher or equal than cut-off point(≥25) of SCARED. The positive rate was 24.4%. anxiety related emotion was marked more in girls than in boys(girls VS boys= 1.45:1).(2)BI(OR=1.67,p=0.000), ASLEC-healthy & accommodation (OR= 1.34,p=0.001) are risk factors of adolescents'anxiety, but RS-self-acceptance(OR=0.87, p=0.000) is protective factor of adolescents anxiety disorders.ConclusionAdolescents with anxiety disorders have more emotional and behavior problems, should be paid much attention to, and need purposeful interventions positively.
