ObjectiveTo observe the expression changes of heme oxygenase-1(HO-1) after spinal cord injury (SCI)MethodsRat model of ASCI was established with amodified Allenr's method that them etalstiek of 109 falled into the spinal cord(T9-T10)from the height of 2.5cm.SD ratswere randomly divided into normal (n=5), control (n=5) and experimental group. The rats were given no operation in the normal group, laminectomy only in the control and both laminectomy and traumatic injury in the experimental group. The SCI animal modelswere made by using a modified Allen's weight-drop device (50 g.cm)on T12. Rats were sacrificed at 1 and 3 days after injury. The distribution and content changes of HO-1 in spinal cord segmentswere observed by means of immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization.ResultsThis experiment finds SCI group, the normal group of spinal cord tissue were found to have HO-1 expression. Tan or tan HO-1 for the positive immune and in situ hybridization in painting, this coloring cell plasma and protuberant roots. In JiaShouShu group and normal controls in the spinal cord of rats, HO-1 bits of expression, which located mainly in the spinal cord ventral horn in the motor neuron, scattered distribution. SCI group of different time points of expression and HO-1 JiaShouShu group compared with normal group, except for 0.5 h time points in rat spinal cord tissues HO-1 expression difference was statistically significant outside, the rest of the time point comparison of HO-1 expression are statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusions1,Rats, injury after spinal cord injury of spinal cord tissues in the expression HO-1 was increased, indicating the spinal cord injury can induce HO-1 expression.2,HO-1 in after spinal cord injury apparently high expression, its participation in the spinal cord injury to the pathophysiological process, after spinal cord injury spinal cord tissues has certain protective effect; Rats normal spinal cord tissues in only a small number of positive HO-1 expression. 3,After acute spinal cord injury by adding more HO-1 expression to protect spinal cord tissues, reduce spinal cord tissue damage, protect the nerve cells.
