Objective:To detect the expression of CXC chemokine receptor3(CXCR3) and CXC chemokine ligand 10(CXCL10) in human breast cancer and explore the relationship between CXCR3,CXCL10 and clinic pathological factors of patients with breast cancer. The significance of CXCR3,CXCL10 for occurrence, development, treatment and prognosis of patients with breast cancer attempt to be achieved.Methods:CXCR3,CXCL10 were determined in 60 paraffinic tissues of patients with primary breast cancer,20 of mammary fibroma and 20 of mastopathy by immunohistochemistry S-P method or two stage method. It's analyzed that the relationship among the status of CXCR3,CXCL10 expression and clinic pathological factors: age, status of menopause, tumor size, status of axillary lymph node metastasis, clinical stage, pathological type, histology grade and the status of ER,PR,HER-2 expression. Meanwhile, a rank correlation analysis between the strength of CXCR3 expression and the number of axillary lymph node metastasis, clinical stages is made.Results:1. There are 40 CXCR3 positive cases in 60 of breast cancers(66.7%), 13 in 20 mammary fibroma (65%),and 8 in 20 mastopathy(40%). But there are not significant difference between breast cancer and mammary fibroma (P>0.05), and there are significant difference between breast cancer and mastopathy (P<0.05).2. There are 45 CXCL10 positive cases in 60 of breast cancers(75%), 12 in 20 mammary fibroma (60%),and 10 in 20 mastopathy (50%). There are not significant difference between breast cancer and mammary fibroma (P>0.05). There are significant difference between breast cancer and mastopathy (P<0.05).3. CXCR3 expression isn't related to age, status of menopause, tumor size, pathological type, histology grade and the expression of ER,PR(P>0.05). CXCR3 expression is related to status of axillary lymph node metastasis,clinical stage and the positive expression of HER-2(P<0.05), and the strength of CXCR3 expression has positive relation to the number axillary lymph node metastasi(r_s=0.375,P=0.003)and clinical stage(r_s=0.451,P=0.000).4. CXCL10 expression isn't related to age, status of menopause, tumor size, status of axillary lymph node metastasis, clinical stage, pathological type, histology grade and the expression of ER,HER-2(P>0.05). CXCL10 expression is related to the expression of PR(P<0.05).Conclusions:1. The more expression of CXCR3,CXCL10 in breast cancer tissue indicates that the occurrence of breast cancer may associate with CXCR3,CXCL10.2. The strength of CXCR3 expression in breast cancer tissue have positive relation to the number of axillary lymph node metastasis and clinical stage,and the expression of CXCR3 is related to the expression of HER-2 indicate that CXCR3 may be related to the development and metastasis of breast cancer and CXCR3 may be used as the evaluation of breast cancer prognosis.
