ObjectiveTo analyze the independent factors affecting the prognosis of gastrointestinal stromal tumor(GIST) patients undergoing radical operation.MethodsThe clinical characteristics and follow up data of the 85 patients with GIST underwent radical opsration from January,2006 to Septemper,2010 in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed.ResultsIn the 85 cases, tumor size, necrosis, mitotic count, Gleevec administration postoperativel were found to be related to the prognosis of GIST.ConclusionsTumor size, necrosis, mitotic count, Gleevec administration postoperativel are important prognostic factors for patients with GIST undergoing radical operation.
