| Objective:To elevate the level of diagnosis and treatment of adrenal malignant lymphoma. Methods:The clinical data of 4 adrenal non-Hodgkin lymphoma patients in our department was reviewed,4 male,42 to 69 years old. The final pathologic diagnosis was achieved by surgical exploration (2 cases) and needle puncture directed by ultrasonic (2 cases). After surgery, they under went a combined CHOP regime.Results:80 cases reported of adrenal non-Hodgkin lymphoma were collected and studied. We found that adrenal non-Hodgkin lymphoma more commonly affect older men with a average age of 52 and a male to female ratio of 2.5:1. The symptoms and signs major are fever and(or) weight loss and(or) Abdominal Pain. Size of the tumor in greatest diameter is between 3cm and 26cm. The majority of the reported cases (50/80) are bilateral. Diagnosis of adrenal non-Hodgkin lymphoma is depended on biopsy or operation. Active treatment appears to a bad clinical outcome. Conclusions:The collecting cases indicated that adrenal non-Hodgkin lymphoma was relatively malignant with poor prognosis. Clinical manifestations and conventional imaging studies demonstrated no special characteristics compared with begin adrenal tumor. We suggest that it is a good idea to take a puncture directed by CT or ultrasonic. Adrenal operation and chemotherapy is relatively efficacy, but with a poor outcome. |
