BACKGROUND:CLBSI are the 3rd most prevalent healthcare associated infection after Urinary Tract Infection and Pneumonia.. In ICU,48%patients with central venous catheter. CLBSI are common, costly, and potentially lethal, prolonged hospitalization. According to the study, Reduction in central line-related bloodstream infections by implementation of a central line bundle.METHODS:Through a retrospective analysis to evaluation the effectiveness of CLB's elements, two years data of before and after implementation of a central line bundle were compared.RESULTS:After implementation of CLB,The average number of central line-associated bloodstream infections per 1000 catheter days decreased from 4.61 to 1.86 (P=0.006) after the bundle intervention was initiated.CONCLUSIONS:The implementation of a central line bundle resulted in a significant decrease in line-associated bloodstream infections and their associated morbidities, mortalities, and costs of care.
