This thesis attempts to explore the possible investment opportunities and its essential route and model in the healthcare industry, after all of the healthcare services regress to―public‖under the context of the new medical insurance reform scheme. Will those investment opportunities affect the current mainstream model, thus contributing to push the overall service to a higher quality?With reviewing the primary viewpoints and development history of the Property Right Theory in the New Institution Economics and discussing the Property Right Theory's effect of inspiration to the health care market, this thesis finds out that the unclear property right situation of public hospitals is one of the most important reasons of relatively low efficiency of domestic health care market.After summarizing the status and development history of the for-profit private hospitals, which as a part of the international mainstream health care model, the medical insurance and the payment system by countries are found to be the most important influencing factor for the development of for-profit private hospitals. With the current national conditions, using AIER Eye Hospital, Chindex and Ciming Health Check-up as major case studies, this thesis concludes three critical success factors for social capital investing in domestic health care market, which respectively are to be large differentiated with public hospitals, whether its services can be relatively standardized and to provide the services out of medical insurance payment founded by government. Cosmetic surgery and high-end rehabilitation institutes are also found to be possible future investment opportunities.
