Purpose Through collecting complete clinical materials , analysising the incidence of contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN) of 248 cases of the Tibetan and Han examiners who were undertaken CT contrast examinations and angiography in Medical Imaging Center of Qinghai University Affiliated Hospital during the period from June 2010 to April 2011, discussing the influence of the concentration of contrast agents to the renal function and the relerant risk fators of CIN , and evaluating the security of the conventional CT contrast examtions and angiography , the study could give the reference of the occurrence of CIN for clinical prevention .Material and Methods Clinical materials were available from 248 cases of the Tibetan and Han examiners who were undertaken CT contrast examinations and angiography in Medical Imaging Center of Qinghai University Affiliated Hospital during the period from June 2010 to April 2011. According to whether CIN was associated with diabetes of hypertension, the examiners were divided into complication group(95 cases) and no complications group(153 cases). And the complication group was divided into hypertension group(36 cases), diabetes group(40 cases) and hypertension associated diabetes group(19 cases). The serum creatinine level of 248 cases were detected within 24,48 hours and 7days after undergoing CT contrast sanning . According to the conventional definition, patients with a relative increase in serum creatinine concentration of at least 25% compared with baselin after 72 hours of the patients . This definition is consistent with CIN defined as inclusion criteria. 9 cases of CIN were collected and collated:(Among them, there were 1 case of the Tibetan patients and 8 cases of the Han patients.)①According to the types of using contrast agents, the subjects were divided into Ultravist 370mgI/ml group (6 cases, Including 3 burn patients who were undertaken CT vascular angiography) and 300mgI/ml group (3 cases).②According to whether the patients had renal insufficiency before the prodecure, there were renal insufficiency group (3 cases) and normal renal function group (6 cases) .Results①The overall cocurence of CIN in 248 cases was 3.6% in the present study. The incidence of CIN of the Tibetan group was 1.1% , and the Han group was 5.1% . The comparison of the incidence of CIN between the two groups was not significant.②The comparison of the serum creatinine level within 48 hours and the 7th day between renal insufficiency group and normal renal function group was statistically significant.③Except 3 burn patients who were undertaken CT vascular angiography ,The comparison of the incidence of CIN between 370mgI/ml group and 300mgI/ml group was not statistically significant.④The comparison of the incidence of CIN between complication group and no complications group was statistically significant.⑤The incidence of CIN of the Tibetan group was about equal to the hypertension group. The incidence of CIN of the diabetes associated with hypertension group was higher than another groups.Conclusion①Through the comparative study of the incidence of CIN of Tibetan and Han examiners for the first time,wo promoted that the ethnic fators were not yet having impact on the occurrence and prognosis of CIN .②The renal function before the exanination and whether the examiners having complications were of great significance to the incidence of CIN .It was necessary to learn the relevant risk factors of the CIN patients before undergoing CT examinations and give positive and effective preventive measures in the early stage .
