Biofilms are a micro-ecological environment of microorganisms in which a large number of microbial ahead to each other concentrating on extracellular polysaccharide matrix. Biofilms are the main ecological forms of Microorganisms existing in nature. Dental plaques are naturally occurring biofilms involved in the development of caries and periodontal diseases.Biofilms provide Pathogens with excellent ecological environment by defending pathogens against external stimuli through the dense extracellular matrix consisting of physical and chemical barrier, and thus the traditional antibiotic therapy faced great difficulties. Therefore, in medicine, for different drugs, the effective drug concentration that can get into a biofilm is crucial important. The article does the following works to solve the problem:1. With the combination of mathematical theory and biological situation, we promoted three models to describe diffusion process in dental plaque.2. We computed equation parameters in these models and discuss the properties of the diffusion process by fitting the data given by the biological experiments.
