Research Of The Epidemiological Characteristics Of AEFI In HeBei Province In 2009

Objective : To Analyze the characteristics of Adverse Events Following Immunization(AEFI), to evaluate the AEFI monitoring system and the safety of vaccines and immunization service quality. To predict the development trend of AEFI by the ARIMA models in 2010, and to establish the standardized of immunization safety monitoring system and adjust the immunization strategy and develop and implement public health strategies to provide a scientific basis.Methods :1 The data of AEFI cases of Hebei province in 2009 were collected from China's immunization program monitoring information management system, and exported Excel 2003 then finished.2 AEFI clinical classification criteria were refered to the national AEFI surveillance pilot project guidelines ("Guidelines"). AEFI were divided into seven reactions according to the reasons for their occurrence,including general reaction, abnormal reaction, vaccine quality incidents, the implementation of error accidents, coupling disease, psychogenic response, unknown causes reaction.3 The ratio of reported AEFI: Vaccination doses as the denominator, the number of AEFI cases caused by corresponding vaccine as the molecule, at the same time.4 The ratio of timely reported and timely investigated of AEFI: Timely reported ratio was that we founded the AEFI to report CDC within the interval in 48h. The timely investigation ratio was that we reported AEFI to investigate within the interval in 48h.5 To establish ARIMA prediction model by SPSS software, and to forecast the occurrence of AEFI monthly in Hebei Province in 2010. 6 The distribution and related indicators of AEFI were analyzed by SPSS 13.0 software, and the results were described.Results :1 The epidemiological characteristics of AEFI1.1 Most of AEFI cases were mainly in Handan, shijiazhuang,Cangzhou, Chengde, and the reported cases of Handan were the most in Hebei Province; The reported ratio of Chengde, Cangzhou, Handan were higher than others, the ratio of Baoding was the lowest. The incidence of AEFI cases and abnormal reaction were significant differences in each districts. The 175 counties of Hebei province were all reported AEFI cases, and the coverage rates of county and countryside were increasing.1.2 AEFI reports occurred in each month, the cases were the highest in Jun, Nov and Dec, but they were the least in Jan. Most of cases occurred from Oct to Dec, and were the least from Jun to Mar. There was no seasonal distribution clearly.1.3 The ratio of male and female of AEFI was 1.27:1, and it was lower than the last year. The oldest was 71 years old and the youngest was born 1 day.≤l-year-old reported cases were the largest, and the proportion in age from 2 to 6 years was the least.
