The Clinical Curative Effect Research Of Nasal Irrigationing By "Tongqiao Lotion" After Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery

Objective:Applicating of nasal irrigationing by Tongqiao lotion in treating patients after functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS),Observeing the symptoms, endoscopic nasal mucosa score, recording lacunar of Cleaning cavity and Epithelial time and washed with simple saline as a control group, an objective evaluation of its efficacy and safety, and further, discuss the mechanism through the changes of activity of superoxide dimutase(SOD) and level of malondialdehyde(MDA) in the mucosal and polyp tissues of chronic sinusitis。Methods:the inclusion criteria are accepted 54 cases, in accordance with the order of admission, in accordance with the principle of randomized controlled divided into Group A(treatment group), Group B (control group), among the treatment group, Tongqiao lotion was used to irrigate the operated cavity treated by functional endoscopic sinus surgery, Normal salinerinse was used to irrigate the operated cavity treated in the same way among the control group.Surgery patients were recorded before and after twelve weeks of the patients sniveling,headache, decreased sense of smell, and other symptoms of the change before and after operation; Observed by endoscopic after three months of the nasal mucosa vesting healing, the expression activity of superoxide dimutase(SOD) and level of malondialdehyde(MDA).the statistical analysis, evaluation of its efficacy.Results:The two groups of gender, age, duration, such as general informations are of no statistically significant difference.①Symptom scores were compared to their respective controls before and after treatment by the t-test, two groups after treatment 12 weeks (P<0.05), a significant difference. between the two groups after treatment than before treatment symptoms were significantly improved (P<0.01), in particular the treatment group improved more obvious. Two of the luminal epithelium of the time by t-test,(P<0.01),significantly different.②After 12weeks'treatment,The activity of SOD in the mucosal tissues of chronic sinusitis patients was 189.13±32.45 NU/mgprot. In the control group was 170.67±24.93 NU/mgprot. The activity of SOD in the mucosal tissues of chronic sinusitis group was remarkably lower compared with that in the control group(P<0.05). The mean MDA levels in the mucosal tissues of chronic sinusitis patients were 1.425±2.724 mmol/mgprot, respectively.In control group were 2.64±2.35 nmol/mgprot, MDA levels in the mucosal tissues of chronic sinusitis groups were significantly higher compared with control specimens(P<0.01).Conclusions:①Tongqiao lotion douching the cavity,the symptoms,signs more visible than simple saline irrigation; to more effectively promote and accelerate the cavity of the epithelium; Tongqiao lotion had extract curative effect in chronic sinusitis and/or nasal polypus. It is a safe and effective drug of the traditional Chinese medicine.②In the mucosal and polyp tissues of chronic sinusitis patients the ability to clean out the free radical has descended, the reaction of lipid peroxidation is very active. Free radical damage may be one of the important factom in the pathogenesis of chronic sinusitis.
