Objective: To study the epidemiology of Urumqi, the region features senile disease, summed up in Urumqi region in elderly hypertensive patients of TCM distribution. Methods: From January 2007 to December 2007 in the Xinjiang Chinese medicine hospital in-patient hospital medical records of elderly patients to conduct epidemiological investigations, while the first diagnosis of hypertension in elderly patients, further analysis of card-type distribution and with the age, gender, disease duration, complicating diseases and physical and chemical indicators of relationship. Results: (1) Urumqi region common diseases in older circulatory, respiratory, musculoskeletal system dominated, accounting for 62.95% of disease, of which high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, cerebral vascular accident-prone; main causes of death for the elderly in this region malignant tumor, accounting for 35.48% of total deaths;(2) Urumqi TCM syndromes in elderly hypertensive patients with blood stasis permits the distribution of the majority (41.15%), followed by Yinxuyangkang card (24.33%), phlegm Yongsheng certificate (23.29%), anger Kang Sheng card (6.84%), Yin and Yang 2 deficiency (4.39%); the card-type distribution in terms of gender difference was statistically significant (P <0.05), men with phlegm Yongsheng cards, blood stasis card, Yin and Yang 2 deficiency multiple women to anger Kang Sheng card, multiple card Yinxuyangkang; various syndromes in all age groups the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05), chi-square can be seen by the trend: phlegm Yongsheng card, blood stasis permit increased with age and its incidence downward trend, yin and yang, two deficiency increased with age and its incidence on the rise; the distribution of syndromes in the course of the disease was significantly (P <0.05), by the trend Chi-square can be seen: anger Kang Sheng cards, blood stasis card with the extended course of the disease and its incidence declined, yin and yang deficiency with the duration of the extension of two and its incidence on the rise; all TCM Syndrome-type distribution in high - blood pressure classification, risk stratification in the no significant difference; coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular accident, cardiac insufficiency in the blood stasis permits a higher incidence of diabetes in the Yinxuyangkang permit a higher incidence of fat hyperlipidemia occurred in the permits phlegm Yongsheng higher; in the card type and biochemical studies, anger Kang Sheng certificate Yinxuyangkang yin and yang, two deficiency syndrome and serum uric acid level was statistically significant difference between (P <0.05), anger Kang Sheng certificate Yinxuyangkang syndrome and phlegm Yongsheng cards, blood stasis syndrome and anger Kang Sheng permit the level of serum cholesterol in patients with statistically significant difference between (P <0.05).Conclusions: (1) against the major diseases in Urumqi region in healthy elderly subjects with hypertension, coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular accidents and other circulatory diseases, mainly nausea and cancer as the main cause of death. (2) Urumqi region in elderly hypertensive blood stasis Syndrome in order to permit the most prevalent, the TCM syndrome type group distribution by sex, age, course of disease, biochemical indexes.
