Objective: Investigate the changes of instestine fatty acid binding protein and D-Dimer in serum on acute mesenteric ischemia of rabbits. Methods: Thirty New Zealand rabbits of either gender or weighing 2.5~3.5kg were studied. Experimental animal models of AMV were made by ligation of superior mesenteric artery on rabbits. The animals were randomly divided into five groups: (1) control group(n=6),(2) ligation 0.5h group (n=6),(3) ligation 1h group(n=6),(4) ligation 2h group(n=6),(5) ligation 4h group(n=6). At preligation,The serum samples were obtained before and at 0.5h,1h,2h,and4h after operation by drawing venous blood of all group rabbits at the corresponding time, centrifuged, then extracted the supernatant. All the serum were preserved in the -70℃refrigerator before the contents of I-FABP and D-Dimer were measured by sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The rabbits were killed at the end of experiments, intestinal tissue specimen was fixed by 4% polyformaldehyde and 4%glutaraldehyde respectively , then histopathologic changes of intestinal were studied by light microscope. Results: The change of serum I-FABP:The levels of I-FABP at ligation 0.5h,1h,2h,and 4h were higher significantly than pre- ligation (P<0.05,respectively),The levels of I-FABP at ligation 0.5h,1h,2h,and 4h were higher significantly than the control group (P<0.05,respectively),and ligation at 0.5h rapedly increased and were higher significantly accompanied the prolongation of ligation. The levels of serum D-Dimer:The levels of I-FABP at ligation 0.5h,1h,2h,and 4h were higher than pre- ligation . The levels of serum D-Dimer at ligation 0.5h,1h,2h,and 4h were higher than the control group , but only significantly at ligation 1h,2h and 4h (P<0.01,respectively). and The levels of serum D-Dimer were higher and higher accompanied the prolongation of ligationConclusion: I-FABP and D-Dimer may be useful for early diagnosis of AMV and AII ,the contents in serum together is helpful for early diagnosis, and in early diagnosis of AMV remains to be further researched.
