Objective:To investigate the effects on promotion of local bone defects of complex combination made of exogenous vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) mixed with fibrin glue (FG), providing experimental evidence for the treatment of bone defects. Methods:A rabbit animal model of unilateral spoke bone 1 cm defect 36, were randomly divided into 2 groups, one group made of experimental group(VEGF mixed with FG),another group made of control group simple bone.18 in each group. Fibrin gel vascular endothelial growth factor-binding artificial bone was implanted into The experimental group, single control group implanted with artificial bone. Bone defect model was defected by X-ray, histology and biomechanical 4,8,12 weeks after implantation. Results:All 36 rabbits were tested. Experimental group was significantly higher than control group in the X-ray, histological evaluation of bone formation. The difference was statistically significant (p <0.05). Conclusion:The Complex carries made of the fibrin gel formation mixed vascular endothelial growth factor can promote early vascularization of bone, and promote new bone formation, thus speeding up the repair of bone defects.
