| Objectives:To study the treatment of nourishing kidney,calming liver,eliminating the wind and resolving phlegm clinical effeets of TS and to explore its meehanism.This treatment is a Professor ZhuXianKang developed aeeordanee with the clinical experience of many years,in clinical applications has made significant results. Studies of this topic with a"nourishing kidney,calming liver,eliminating the wind and resolving phlegm"decoction of Chinese medicine treatment of children due to deficiency of kidney,hyperactivity of liver and obstruction of Collateral Caused By Wind-Phlegm,and compare the clinical efficacy with the control group of western medicine, aims to an objective evaluation of the method of treatment of children with TS, to explore the advantages of Chinese medicine treatment of this disease.Methods:Sixty patients consistence with diagnostic criteria were equally divided into the experimental group and the control group in parallel control way. The experimental group was administered with Chinese medicine, and the control group was administered with Tiapride.12 weeks was a course of treatment. We observed the tic category, frequency, intensity and the improvement of effect on life or behavior in both groups before and after the treatment according to the Yale global tic severity scale(YGTSS),and evaluate of the method of treatment of children with TS.Results:Compared with the control group, there was a significant difference (P<0.05) in the experimental group in improving the tic category, frequency and the therapeutic effect. Compared with the control group, there was no significant difference (P>0.05) in the experimental group in improving the tic intensity and the effect on life or behavior.Conclusion:Through research, we believe that Chinese medicine compound is an effective method to treat children with TS due to deficiency of kidney,hyperactivity of liver and obstruction of Collateral Caused By Wind-Phlegm,and with a clinical practical value.
