There has been many famous doctors in Fujian since ancient times,the physician Li Jun in late Qing dynasty is one outstanding representative.As a pioneer and acter for the integration of Chinese and Western medicine,he suggested the common progress of the two medicines.His medicine skills were reputed in Fujian and Beijing as being a court physician and a scholar diligent in writing and collecting.But by far,the famous doctor's record is just summaries of his life and works or about his foresight on integration of medicines.There is no book dealing with his medical thoughts and clinical experience.The systematic analysis is worthy of our in-depth study.This paper analyzes the relevant literature research related to Li Jun through field research and document study.The content is divided into four main sections.The first chapter describes his.life and major medical writings.The second chapter researchs on Li Jun's academic characteristics and clinical experience.They are grouped into three areas:1. Attentions to blood on the rule and a combination of active and innovative thought according to his knowledge of anatomy physiology.2.Good use of classical prescriptions and specializing in cure plague with quite effective treatment.3.Advocating the integration of Chinese and Westen medicine and keeping an open mind in introducing foreign language books.The third chapter discusses Li Jun's cultural and medical background:1.Li Jun heritaged and carried forward the traditional theory of qi and blood,aggregated the former's virtues and combined anatomical views.2.Li Jun advocated the integration of Chinese and Western medicine with the profound cultural background of medical thought and cultural change in the late Qing dynasty.3.Li Jun was an efficacy significantly distinguished physicians according to the background of the Qing Dynasty courtALi Jun inherited the Fujian explorers' courage in seeking new knowledge,reflecting the cultural characteristics in Fujian and Taiwan——"fighting spirit".5.Li Jun's academic thoughts have made significant impacts on the future generations. The fourth chapter is the conclusions which summarizes the contents and major research value and significance of this research thesis.
