After entering WTO, China becomes more and more international country. It has welcomed an unprecedented high number of foreigners most of the whom live in big metropolitan cities like Shenyang. Hospitals are facing the challenge of satisfying the needs of these foreigners when seek hospital care. The question which arise is:how to improve the satisfaction of foreign hospital patients in the face of competition in Shenyang? By reviewing cross-cultural studies we can find key points which influence the satisfaction of foreign patients. To answer this question, we used questionnaires and interviewed 200 foreign hospital patients in Shenyang.Based on CHPSI 2006 and the theories of satisfaction in and abroad, the research modifies and translates the questionnaires. We used descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, analysis of variance to analyze our data. By comparing the satisfaction of Chinese hospital patients with that of foreign hospital patients, this research unfolds and provides evidence for strategy making in health care departments and propose microscopic solutions to each hospital.
