Objective:To determine the relationship between ERCC1 expression, TS expression and the prognosis in colon cancer after postoperative adjuvant chemotherapyMethod:The 134 selected patients were diagnosed with colon cancer and operateded for the first time, and the pathologic diagnosis was stageâ…¡orâ…¢.all patients accepted 8-10 cycles of FOLFOX4 after surgery and be followed up for 3 years.,DFS was the facter for prognosis. The expression of ERCC1 and TS protein was determined through immunohistochemical analysis (MaxvisionTM).Results:1.In these 134 colon cancer patients, the positive expression rate of ERCC1 was 39.6%;the positive expression rate of TS was 45.5%;the positive expression rate of both ERCC1 and TS was 23.9%,the negative expression rate of both ERCC1 and TS was.38.8%.2.The 3-year DFS rate in ERCC1-positive expression was 85.2%, which was significantly higher than 62.3% in ERCC1-negative expression(P=01001);the 3-year DFS rate in TS-positive expression was 86.3%,which was significantly higher than 63.9% in TS-negative expression(P=0.001);the 3-year DFS rate in positive expression of both ERCC1 and TS was 50.0%,which was significantly lower than 88.5% in both negative expressions, also was lower than 80.0% in one of the negative expression,.Further analysis,In different stages, the 3-year DFS rate in ERCC1-negative expression were also lower than those in ERCC1-positive expression (stageâ…¡: 89.5%V70.8%,P=0.041;stageâ…¢:82.9%V59.5%,P=0.022);the 3-year DFS rate in TS-negative expression were also lower than those in TS-positive expression(stageâ…¡:88.1%V70.0%,P=0.047;stageâ…¢:82.1%V57.6%,P=0.010);the 3-year DFS rate in one or two negative expression of ERCC1 and TS were also higher than those in both positive expressions3.The Cox regression analysis showed that the expression level of ERCC1 and TS were independent prognositic factors of colon cancer.Conclusion:1.One or two negative expression of ERCC1 and TS had better prognosis and could be benefit from adjuvant chemotherapy.2.Patients of colon cancer in stageâ…¡can get the same efficacy as in stageâ…¢from the adjuvant chemotherapy.3.The Expression level of ERCC1 and TS can be used as predictors of prognosis.
